An extra pad will make your work easier if the baby sleeps in multiple places or if you want to increase the detection area in one cot. It will also come in handy if the original pad has worn out or its 2-year lifespan has come to an end.
Will your baby sleep in several different places? Do you want to increase the detection area as much as possible? Then, you will find at least one extra sensor pad useful. It will make work easier and reduce the risk of damage when handling, simply move the control unit. For a larger baby, connect a spare pad to the original, this enlarged detection area means you can sleep in peace all night with no false alarms.
You can either buy the sensor pad separately or as part of a special Nanny package with two pads. A new sensor pad must also be purchased after 2 years of using the breathing monitor; the original control unit can continue to be used.
